Ahh did not know about having to post once a week. Guess where I am off to!
Just checked out your site well done! That is great.
Will you be selling the script?

Hi Richard,

You don't HAVE to post every week. But in my testing I have set up a number of blogs and I have found that once you get to the first page of Google for your keywords you will start dropping in rank if you don't post at least once per week. How far you drop depend on the number of Search Engine Response Pages there are for your keywords. The more SERP's the more you drop.

I might be selling the script sometime in the future but for right now it isn't really in a shape to release to anyone that isn't familiar with PHP because of lot of it is hardcoded on the pages and not in the database. This makes it a little complicated to set up.

What a challenge! You don't start small do you! I guess by doing it yourself it's almost easier than trying to explain exactly what you want and possibly making do with something not exactly as you planned
Plus the learning is great for future projects.
Unlike you - busy working on a project - I took some time off but just like you my blog suffered. I wrote a few posts before I left but not enough hours in the day to do enough. I found a great resource since my return so I'm more confident about the prospects for my next absence!

      Hey AH,

Thanks for posting. Life without challenges is boring!

But as you can see I missed my June 3 deadline I guess that makes me a true programmer :)

I am a firm believer that you should know at least a little about what you are doing. This means that you will at least have an idea about the value of the service you are receiving when you outsource your work.

It is bad though that immediately after posting breaking the cardinal rule I do it again :)
